Garbage Room & Sanitation Facility Air Protection Solution

Active hydroxyl technology for coordinated air and surface treatment in waste collection and temporary storage environments.

Garbage rooms and waste collection facilities may experience persistent odors, elevated TVOCs, ammonia and potential microbial contamination risks. OH-FEEL® offers modular floor-standing, wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted and duct-integrated configurations. Equipment and engineering solutions can be customized according to room size, pollutant profile and ventilation conditions.

Preliminary concept for project communication. Final equipment selection and performance require site assessment and project-specific testing.

Original supplied poster, including the sanitation-worker concept scene and facility context. Approximately 60 m² reference illustration; not a verified installation or treatment-result record.

Industry Challenges

01

Persistent odor accumulation from decomposing waste, with potential dispersion into surrounding areas.

02

TVOCs and ammonia (NH₃) that may affect indoor air quality and staff working conditions.

03

Potential microbial contamination in the air and on waste bins, floors and frequently touched surfaces.

04

Air and surface hygiene needs that may not be addressed by localized filtration alone.

05

Odor and pollutant dispersion that may affect nearby residential, commercial and public environments.

06

Limitations of relying only on ventilation, fragrance masking or localized filtration.

OH-FEEL® Technology Solution

OH-FEEL® applies biomimetic hydroxyl radical (·OH) technology to actively release hydroxyl species into the target space. Through oxidative reactions, the technology is designed to help address selected odor compounds and organic pollutants while supporting coordinated treatment of air and surfaces.

Key Application Benefits

Odor management

Helps reduce odors associated with decomposing waste.

VOC treatment

System configurations can be designed for selected TVOC and organic pollutants.

Ammonia management

Targeted solutions can be assessed for ammonia and verified through site monitoring.

Microbial control support

Supports control of selected bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms in air and on surfaces; claims must be supported by applicable test reports.

Air and surface treatment

Considers room air as well as waste bins, floors, walls and frequently touched surfaces.

Occupied-space operation

Operating configurations should be selected only after applicable safety assessment and confirmation of operating conditions.

Three Flexible Engineering Configurations

Concept product visuals. Display readings are illustrative, not site measurements. Compact displays, NH₃ sensors and remote monitoring are optional engineering configurations, subject to sensor specifications; they are not assumed standard features.

Option 1

Floor-Standing High-Airflow Unit

For rooms with floor space available near waste-bin storage areas. A lower air intake and upper air outlet support air circulation and hydroxyl release toward the target area. A compact monitoring display can be offered as an option. A durable stainless-steel sheet-metal enclosure can be customized.

Option 2

Large Wall-Mounted Hydroxyl Unit

For rooms where wall installation is preferred to preserve floor space. The unit can use a stainless-steel sheet-metal enclosure and be positioned according to room layout and airflow conditions.

See configuration 3 in the full solution poster. Installation depends on ceiling void, airflow and maintenance access.

Option 3

Ceiling-Mounted / Duct-Integrated Module

For rooms with suitable ceiling voids or existing ventilation infrastructure. A sheet-metal module can be ceiling-mounted or integrated into ductwork, subject to engineering review of airflow and maintenance access.

These are project-customized engineering configurations, not standard-product specifications or a promise that a pictured configuration is supplied unchanged. Stainless-steel enclosure, mounting brackets and outlet layout can be customized.

Modular Customization & System Integration

  • Floor-standing, wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted and duct-integrated configurations.
  • Durable stainless-steel sheet-metal enclosures for public-facility environments.
  • Equipment quantity and airflow matched to room dimensions, pollutant sources and ventilation conditions.
  • Optional TVOC, ammonia and other pollutant monitoring modules, subject to sensor specifications.
  • Optional remote monitoring, data display and intelligent management.
  • Integration with existing ventilation and exhaust systems.

Application Value

Improve working conditions for sanitation personnel and support occupied-space use where validated for the selected configuration.

Help reduce odor dispersion and the spread of pollutants beyond the waste facility.

Support management of microbial contamination risks in air and on surfaces.

Support environmental management around residential, commercial and public facilities.

Support environmental compliance management through suitable treatment configurations and project-specific testing.

Reference Space & Scalability

The page uses an approximately 60 m² garbage room as a reference environment to illustrate three possible equipment configurations. The concept may inform discussions for 100–150 m² facilities, but equipment quantities must not be extrapolated by area alone. Final selection, quantity, airflow, installation locations and exhaust treatment requirements must be determined through site survey, pollutant testing and ventilation assessment.

Optional Configuration — Exhaust-Air Treatment

Where exhaust-air treatment is required, a separate collection and treatment stage can be assessed. A suitable exhaust treatment section may combine hydroxyl modules with other required technologies. An indoor hydroxyl unit alone does not guarantee compliant exhaust emissions. Final design depends on exhaust airflow, pollutant concentrations, duct layout, contact time and local regulations, and must be verified by project-specific testing.

  1. 1

    Room air collection

  2. 2

    Dedicated ductwork

  3. 3

    Suitable exhaust treatment

  4. 4

    Discharge monitoring

  5. 5

Discharge in accordance with applicable requirements

Indoor active hydroxyl release and exhaust-end treatment are separate engineering stages. Environmental compliance must be verified against applicable standards through project-specific testing.
